The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He tests and evaluates cleaning appliances, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. Multitaskers are a great option for those who want to remove mopping from their to-do lists. Some models have superior mapping and obstacle avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads for a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that can also mop, this is the model to go for. It's smaller than other models on this list, making it easier to navigate in tight corners and under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it some of the best navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery midway through a clean.
It is very efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single sweep. The suction motor's 8,000pa is quick at picking up dirt, crumbs and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets, and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.
The mopping performance is less impressive, though not by a lot. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high rate and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, easily scraping away dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a bit more than other robots. This is useful when you're trying to get into tight corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to collect larger objects like books and broken toys.
Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It doesn't create as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a exclusive cleaning solution for mopping and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's simple to set up and performs well however, this is something you'll have to keep an eye on when you purchase this vacuum solely for the reason of mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it an ideal choice for homeowners looking to purchase a highly effective, versatile and adaptable cleaning machine.
The device comes with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map your home and locate furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean methodically and effectively. This results in an effective, consistent cleaning which is also relatively quick.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. They can reach corners, baseboards, and other difficult-to-access spots. They also have a stretchy side brush that can be extended to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. Recommended Looking at can also be washable and dry to eliminate odors and stop buildup.
Another notable feature is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo allows you to alter the amount of suction and choose between a back-andforth or more random pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it will make, which will affect the speed at which the device can move around your home. You can also choose to disable the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rugs.
The device comes with a expensive price, but has a variety of innovative features. It's crucial to keep in mind that it has periodic expenses in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For example the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad should be replaced every three to six months.
The robot vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and comes with a wide array of physical automation features. These include the power button that doubles as a general 'Clean button as well as a Home' button that will send it back to its base station after finishing its cleaning task. It also has a multifunctional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dries its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be a good option for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home neat without spending too much time on chores. It has powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life that allows you to keep your home tidy with minimal effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 mop and vacuum. It is capable of mopping and vacuuming. The robot has two modules: a dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping module with a microfiber pad that snaps in and out of place. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may seem a bit old-fashioned however, they mean that you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refueling the water tank.
Our test participants found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its accurate floorplan that it uses to determine the path to follow when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate effortlessly between rugs, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also offers the option to set "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers, which can help to keep certain areas of your home from being scrubbed with mop.
We also found that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well at picking up hair from pets. It was able capture an enormous amount of hair that our cats shed, and even got into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was relatively quiet and even had some nice jingles that indicated when it was starting or completing its task.
Its main drawbacks were its simplistic app and the need to change out the modules when switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app is not able to keep multiple maps. This could be a problem if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who are looking for a smart device that can vacuum and mop.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it has some unique features which make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its enormous dock, which doubles as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a clean sink as well as the 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically emptys.
The base also has a variety of control buttons that allow you to start cleaning or recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down two of the buttons to toggle the child lock which is a great option for parents concerned about kids tinkering with the vacuum.
The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to detect obstacles and furniture in its path. It will stay clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

The X1 can be prone to become stuck when it gets caught in a blockage, such as the power cable that is draped over a rug. It will not work until you manually untangle it. This was a rare occurrence, but frustrating nonetheless, since the X1 does not have an "stuck status" alert on its app.
Another potential downside is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You will need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't an issue apart from the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between uses and can cause mildew or mold.
On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad. It's a big difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. And it's a welcome sight for the market that is dominated by boxy units.
